7 June 2010
It looks like it’s officially summer with all of the Deal of the Week savings on Xbox Live. From Peggle to Battlefield 1943, there’s something for everyone. As for Nintendo, we have another week lacking in the Virtual Console department, but I’m sure it’s nothing some puzzle game offerings and Meerkat leading cant’t fix.

A couple neat things are coming out this week, but of course the biggest is bound to be the Modern Warfare 2: Resurgence Map Pack. Weirdly enough, I’d say these look a lot more worth it than the last map pack, especially after watching the new trailer that details each new map individually.
We also have Snoopy Flying Ace coming out on the Arcade, but more importantly, we have Snoopy items coming to the Avatar Marketplace. If there is any type of Woodstock or Snoopy pet, I will be losing the $4 while hanging my head in shame.
Also, Wild Guns on the Virtual Console looks like an absolute blast. I never played it back in the SNES days, but it looks way too entertaining. Hooray for spending all my hard earned money on non-physical copies of everything!
The complete list of items, with product pages and trailers, is after the break.

The Gears of War 3 hype train has officially begun, starting first with Cliffy B’s appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, and now with the quick arrival of avatar items on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Examples and your link to purchase are below.

I still wish the COG armor had sleeves. Ugh. Although, the ticker pet is awesome.
