A new interview with Cliffy B was posted over at Game Informer and it has to do with his rise to game development. It’s not incredibly long at only 8 minutes, but it gives a lot of insight on the ideas he works off of in the industry.
I personally think Cliffy B is extremely talented and under-appreciated. A lot of people have some not kind words for him sometimes, but I think he seems like a great person with a passion for what he does. He has my respect.

Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik are obviously well known names in the gaming world, but now they have found their way to become well-known everywhere else. They made it on the list of Time’s Top 100 influential people of 2010, and rightfully so. Unlike Lady Gaga. And Robert Pattinson.
These guys actually make a difference, especially with their charity Child’s Play, which sends games to children in hospitals all over the world. They are the ones that host that amazing event known as PAX, and have definitely influenced me in ways, especially in pursuing art.
Anyways, you can see the little thing that Times Magazine has about them here. And to hear their thoughts on being influential (courtesy of Twitter):
TychoBrahe: “What’s great about the Time 100 thing is that we’ve already done the perfect strip! Four years ago! http://bit.ly/cRnpQe”
cwgabriel: “It’s oficial: I’m all influencial and sh*t http://tinyurl.com/2dl8ql5“
Congrats guys!

I don’t know about you, but I’ve always wanted to play Super Mario Bros. with Link… and now I can!
To play it, click here. If keyboard controls bother you, you can play with a controller. And you should play it. It’s incredible.

They aren’t amazing by any means, but they are pretty damn adorable. I’ve never really seen anything like them before and for about $60, you can preorder the whole set of them. Personally I like Axel the most, but they all remind me of like, a Square Enix version of the It’s a Small World ride. Scary.
If you have the spare cash and are a diehard KH fan, you can get them here for shipment in late August.

Well, we’ve “defeated” the Locust. We’ve taken a chainsaw to the Lambent. And now in Gears of War 3, which supposedly will have underwater combat, will we need to take on Great Whites? Probably not, but this Digital Unrest comic is great nonetheless. Click the image to make it larger, by the way!

Now here’s some Post-It art that I haven’t seen before! Reader Mike created some of his own sticky art in the form of Starman and a Mystery Block. Lucky for him, the walls in his office were already the perfect color for the mystery block, and, just like me, he had color his black post-its. It was well worth the effort, though, because everything looks fantastic! Great job, Mike! You can see more pictures here!

I didn’t make another this year unfortunately, but I’m planning to do another one in the near future. Any ideas?

I may actually buy this if it didn’t creep me out so much. However, it IS a perfect metaphor for Sonic’s current state in gaming.
It will run you $11 (with shipping) on Teefury.
Remember it’s only up for 24 hours, so you have until midnight!

Artist Brendon Phillips has just made my life a little happier. If only I could buy one of these amazing hoodies…
