Night/Morning Thoughts: A Confession
I confess that I have never finished Bioshock.
It’s not like I didn’t want to! It was just one of those games I’d pick up late at night when I was really tired. I’d play for a bit until my eyes got sore from trying to stay up, and then just shut it off, so I never really made any progress.
That was about seven months ago, but tonight I finally picked it up again, a little earlier than I would, and I just put it down after about 5 hours nonstop. I have to say, it’s pretty good so far. Not that I’m that far in it, because I’m not quite the best gamer ever… but that doesn’t stop me!
Anyone else ever have a game that they just couldn’t get into, but all of a sudden can’t stop playing?
Well, in keeping with the Bioshock theme, tonight’s song is the Main Theme (The Ocean on His Shoulders) from the first soundtrack.

I think I do this with every game, lol. I would say the biggest culprit for me was Metroid Prime. Got it for Christmas right after it came out. I played the opening and didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would, so went to other things. A couple months later I picked it back up out of boredom, and after about 20 minutes of feeling how I did the first time it all changed. The game got amazing, and I beat it over the course of the next three days.
Assassin’s Creed II is the other. My most anticipated game of 2009 and I played it right after midnight when it released and haven’t touched it since. I don’t know what my deal is sometimes.
